I have been painting as long as I can remember and have always been involved in the arts in some fashion as a set and costume designer, props maker, scenic artist; in all aspects of the theatre. I paint with oils, acrylics, inks and encaustics. My mission, quite simply, is to find a way to paint the world I live in with beauty, truth and a little mystery.
I am dedicated to painting and been involved in the arts in Gananoque, Ontario for the past 25 years. I was a member of the inaugural company at the Thousand Islands Playhouse and have designed numerous productions at the Playhouse including “Blessings in Disguise“, “My Fair Lady“ and “Quarry“. I had the pleasure of coordinating the Gallery at the Playhouse for several years, teach drawing, adjudicate art exhibitions and produced the juried exhibition “Bones of the Mother” at St. Lawrence Island National Park in 2005. My paintings have been accepted in juried shows in Canada and the US. My work hangs in private and corporate collections across Canada, in the US and Denmark.
